About the Callaway Energy Center

The Callaway Energy Center is a nuclear facility located in mid-Missouri. The Energy Center has more than 800 employees and contractors working at the facility, and it has established a strong record of safe operation throughout its 30-year operating history. The Energy Center is a highly efficient, low-cost, sustainable source of electricity for Ameren Missouri’s 1.2 million customers.

DUTIES:
Under direct but not constant supervision and working on a rotating shift to perform following duties:
Develop and plan preventive, corrective, surveillance and/or operating work documents for both daily and refueling outage activities for specified discipline.
Ensure high quality work packages are provided for craft/operations, contractor and vendor execution of work activities for specified discipline.
Assist the Maintenance Discipline Coordinators and Work Week Managers in an effort to efficiently bundle/schedule work activities for specified discipline.
Communicate effectively with all departments associated with work management process.
Ensure work performed is in accordance with applicable station procedures and policies.
Ensure documentation of completed work activities is complete and accurate.
Perform special studies and projects as assigned by Supervisor/Manager of Planning.
Participate in Plant Corrective Action Program and Human Performance Program.

SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assume Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties in accordance with Callaway Energy Center Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP) including responding to ERO facilities within the required RERP response time.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Planner works a standard AM/PM rotation shift (dependent on number of planners) in an office/plant environment. Callouts and working rotating or Outage schedules may be required to support plant operations.

HAZARDS:
Exposed to the hazards common to a power plant wherein high voltage, rotating equipment, and high-pressure steam lines are involved, subject to hazard of shock or burns while working near energized equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Three or more years of experience as a journeyman in the discipline required.
Minimum cumulative passing score of at least 70 required on the interview based on the pre-determined scoring rubric.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Physical Science from an accredited college or university preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Good decision making, leadership, communication and human relations skills required.
Security screening required for Callaway Energy Center access.

Grade Step OA 154 Step 1 of 3 - 52.83 USDGrade Step OA 154 Step 2 of 3 - 55.14 USDGrade Step OA 154 Step 3 of 3 (Top Step) - 58.21 USD
