Title:

Electrical Modeller

As an Electrical Designer/Modeller, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of one of Australia's largest and most significant rail infrastructure projects.

Working within the SRL EastLinewideAlliance, you will support the development and coordination of electrical systems associated with stations, tunnels, depot and maintenance facilities, rail systems infrastructure, and associated building services. You willbe responsible fordeveloping detailed 3D models and design documentation using Revit MEP,AutoCADand other digital engineering tools, ensuring designs are coordinated, constructible and aligned with project requirements, AustralianStandardsand client expectations.

Working closely with electrical engineers and multidisciplinary design teams, you will contribute to project delivery from concept through detailed design and construction, helping to shape a transformative piece of infrastructure that will serve Melbourne's growing communities for generations to come.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 3D electrical models and associated design documentation using Revit MEP,AutoCADand other relevant modelling platforms.

  • Support the development and delivery of electrical design solutions from concept through to detailed design and construction phases.

  • Prepare high-quality electrical drawings and documentationin accordance withAustralian Standards, clientrequirementsand project specifications.

  • Model and coordinate electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, communications, security, earthing, lightning protection, station services, depotfacilitiesand associated rail infrastructure systems.

  • Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, project teams,clientsand stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

  • Participate in design reviews, BIM coordinationactivitiesand interdisciplinary workshops.

  • Manage and deliverallocatedelectrical discipline work packagesin accordance withproject requirements.

  • Identify,troubleshootand resolve modelling,coordinationand design issues.

  • Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary design teams including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, track,systemsand rail disciplines.

  • Ensure all work is completed to agreed standards of quality,costand schedule.

  • Contribute innovative ideas to improve project performance, constructability,efficiencyand technical outcomes.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and digital engineering best practices.

  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety,qualityand sustainability.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Associate Diploma, Diploma in Engineering, AdvancedDiplomaor a related qualification (highly regarded).

  • Experience as an Electrical Designer, Drafter or Modeller within transport, rail, buildings, Defence, utilities,energyor major infrastructure projects.

  • Proficiencyin Revit MEP and AutoCAD.

  • Demonstrated experience developing electrical models and drawings for building services, transportinfrastructureand/or high-voltage electrical systems.

  • Understanding of electrical systems including power, lighting, communications, security, fire and life safety systems and associated infrastructure.

  • Experience producingaccurateelectrical drawings and models with minimal supervision.

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams in a BIM environment.

  • Familiarity with BIM processes, modelcoordinationand digital engineering workflows.

  • Experience using Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) andReviztowill be highly regarded.

  • Knowledge of PDF review and mark-up software such as Bluebeam or PDF-XChange

  • Experience on rail, transport, buildings, Defence,utilitiesor major infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.

  • Strong communicationand stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
