
The Industrial Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of electrical components, machinery, and systems to support IT and production processes with premier customer service. To successfully perform this job, an individual will require a combination of technical experience and hands-on skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as an industrial electrical technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE and/or SKILLS
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, control systems, and Programable Logistic Controls (PLCs). Ability to read ladder logic. Knowledge of Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron or other controls equipment. Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools. Knowledge of industrial safety practices and electrical codes. Ability to bend and run conduit. Knowledge of electrical theory up to 480V 3-Phase. Ability to read and troubleshoot PLC logic. Ability to install and troubleshoot Variable-Frequency Drives (VFDs). Knowledge of Arc Flash Standards. Knowledge of OSHA Standards. Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Computer program skills, such as Microsoft Office Suite, are regularly used to communicate and gather information. Fluent in English. Japanese as a second language is helpful.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Desire to proactively and collaboratively work toward solutions with cross-functional team input.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear. The Team Member is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, lift, or twist. The Team Member is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch and be comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights. The Team Member must have a willingness to work in varying environmental conditions (ex. heath, cold, noise, etc.) and be able to climb ladders and work across multiple levels. The Team Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
