The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor at PepsiCo's facility in Little Island Cork will be responsible for leading the sites preventive and predictive maintenance program, troubleshooting technical issues across labs, pilot plant utilities and office facilities, while driving continuous improvement in maintenance execution. This role plays a critical part in supporting equipment uptime, asset care, audit readiness and maintenance excellence across the Cork R&D campus. This person will report to the Facilities Assoc Manager and work closely with Automation, Electrical, Safety, Quality, Facilities and R&D Operations teams.
Responsibilities
Maintenance Execution & Reliability
• Lead daily electrical maintenance activities to ensure safe, effective, and timely execution of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance work.
• Plan, schedule, and release maintenance work orders using the current Transform CMMS, ensuring high PM compliance and maintenance readiness.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control related issues, supporting R&D and pilot plant operations in real time.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop downtime reduction action plans.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, labour hours, and failure codes within SAP.
• Support reliability initiatives that improve equipment performance and extend asset life.
Electrical Systems & Automation
• Oversee and maintain sitewide electrical systems, including distribution boards, MCCs, control panels, and electrical safety systems.
• Lead electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and corrective actions across labs, pilot plant, utilities, and office facilities.
• Support and maintain automation and control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and low voltage control circuits.
• Coordinate and support upgrades to existing electrical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with standards and future proofing for R&D needs.
• Oversee maintenance and performance of solar PV systems, ensuring safe operation and integration with site utilities.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with ETCI, IS 10101, and PepsiCo electrical safety standards.
People Leadership & Team Development
• Supervise, coach any new members which may be added to the team.
• Build a high performance culture focused on reliability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Lead daily tier meetings, communicate priorities, and ensure team workload is balanced and aligned with site needs.
• Support training, competency development, and performance reviews.
Safety & Compliance
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure strict adherence to LOTO, Permit to Work, Risk Assessment, and contractor management processes.
• Have a good understanding of our current equipment and processes.
• Excellent communications skills; both written and verbal.
• Strong administration skills including word and excel.
• Experience of managing suppliers to achieve on-time and on-cost performance
• Demonstrate project leadership, interpersonal skills, and effective communication.
• Experience with using Transform PM is a distinct advantage.
• Ability to analyse service reports and statutory compliance requirements and manage multiple priorities in a timely manner, with precise attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
