Job description

SPIE Global Services Energy is currently looking for an Electrical Maintenance Planning Engineer to join its work force in Angola.

Key Responsibility:

  • Review electrical maintenance plans, backlog, statutory inspections, campaign scopes, and corrective work orders to identify activities requiring detailed planning and advance readiness.
  • Prepare and update electrical work orders in the CMMS/ERP system, including task steps, electrical isolations, lockout/tagout considerations, manpower, duration, tools, test equipment, consumables, spare parts, acceptance criteria, and close-out requirements.
  • Develop work packs for generators, switchboards, MCCs, UPS systems, battery systems, transformers, motors, lighting, electrical distribution, heat tracing, Ex equipment, package electrical systems, and associated auxiliaries.
  • Identify and validate electrical spare parts, consumables, fuses, breakers, cables, glands, terminals, relays, meters, batteries, test equipment, calibration requirements, and special tools.
  • Support material master registration and BOM improvement for electrical equipment, ensuring clear technical descriptions, OEM references, ratings, hazardous area requirements, and equipment linkage.
  • Follow up procurement, technical clarifications, PR/PO status, vendor documentation, inspection requirements, and certification needs for electrical materials and services.
  • Coordinate warehouse verification, preservation checks, segregation, bagging, tagging, boxing, packing lists, and shipment readiness for electrical materials and tools.
  • Interface with operations, electrical supervisors, HSE, procurement, warehouse, logistics, vendors, OEMs, and offshore focal points to ensure execution readiness and safe electrical work preparation.
  • Support execution reporting, technical query resolution, findings review, punch-list closure, and creation of follow-up work orders arising from electrical inspections or maintenance activities.
  • Electrical work packs, CMMS/ERP updates, electrical material and certification trackers, spare parts lists, PR/PO follow-up inputs, warehouse verification records, packing lists, execution support reports, and close-out actions from electrical findings.


Profile

Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification in electrical engineering, with proven experience in offshore oil and gas or FPSO electrical maintenance planning. The candidate shall be familiar with CMMS/ERP systems, electrical safety, hazardous area equipment, maintenance planning, material identification, certification control, vendor coordination, and offshore execution requirements.
