About the Role

Reporting to the Electrical Coordinator- Infrastructure, an exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and suitably qualified Electrical Tradesperson to join our energetic and multi-disciplined Infrastructure team based in Greenbushes WA. This is a permanent, full-time position working an attractive 7:7 dayshift roster, drive in drive out options are avaliable for the right candidate with camp accommodation avaliable.

The primary responsibilities of the role include proactive preventative and corrective maintenance on High Voltage Electrical Site Network, Modular Water Treatment Plant, Non-Process Infrastructure, Village accommodation, shutdown maintenance, statutory testing, inspections and scoping continuous improvement opportunities.

To carry out planned, corrective electrical maintenance on equipment and participate in the on-call roster for after hour requirements if required at the Greenbushes Operations (Greenbushes, Site, Mine) and all offsite areas related to Talison operations as directed.

Responsibilities include:

• diagnose malfunctioning equipment;
• ensure all work complies with the relevant standards both Australian and site specific;
• work in accordance with Section 55 of the Electricity Act 1945 – Electricity (Licensing) Regulation 1991;
• install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment;
• complete daily time sheets to record activities and time spent on maintenance tasks with written feedback;
• install and repair electrical systems, apparatus and components of industrial machinery and equipment;
• carry out housekeeping tasks during and after maintenance to ensure safe work areas;
• as required attend training to maintain and further qualifications; and
• calibrate various equipment.

About the Candidate

• minimum 3 years post trade experience;
• positive attitude towards continuous improvement;
• proactive attitude towards Preventive and Reliability centred maintenance with an understanding of CCMS systems;
• ability to work autonomously and in a multi discipline team environment, promoting company values;
• experience in Water Treatment Plant process and maintenance preferable;
• High Voltage Switching Operators Certificate with H/V experience;
• PLC, Citect and Field Instrument experience;
• experience in high voltage transmission / distribution operation, maintenance and fault diagnosis of up to and including 132KV networks highly regarded;
• working knowledge of electrical standards and codes;
• experience in Job Safety Analysis and Toolbox meetings;
• current ‘C’ class Drivers Licence;
• current Electrical Workers Licence (EW) essential and High-Risk EWP Licence desirable; and
• Certificate IV in instrumentation desirable.
