About the Opportunity

Service Stream's Utilities division is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our Brisbane team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on critical water and wastewater infrastructure that delivers essential services to local communities every day. You'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and improving electrical and instrumentation assets that are vital to the safe and reliable operation of treatment plants and pumping stations.

Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in ensuring operational reliability, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and delivering quality outcomes for our clients and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, control, and instrumentation faults
  • Inspect, test, calibrate, adjust, and repair equipment and systems
  • Maintain and support SCADA, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Assist with commissioning and decommissioning of assets and plant equipment
  • Support the delivery of minor works and capital installation projects
  • Provide technical advice and support to operational teams, engineers, and clients
  • Contribute to maintenance planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support apprentices and promote knowledge sharing across the team
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Experience in the water industry or a similar industrial environment
  • Experience working on wastewater treatment plants and pumping station equipment
  • Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding capabilities
  • Instrumentation and control troubleshooting experience
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of SCADA systems
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Commitment to safety and quality outcomes
  • Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development

Highly regarded:

  • High Risk Work Licence
  • Water and wastewater industry experience
  • Experience commissioning and maintaining industrial control systems
