Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day supervision of small-to-medium sized, multi skilled construction crews with multiple work assignments and locations. The successful candidate is required to have an excellent understanding of construction input into the Project and Engineering Design. Ability to implement Wood and Client Safety programs.
This position is a rotational on a 28/28-day roster with a B2B support position.
- Reporting to the construction coordinator, the candidate will support job planning related to electrical disciplined activities around other disciplines in the field.
- Daily reporting of job progress and future planned activities.
- Supporting QA/QC with completions – Inspection Test Records, MCC and handovers relating to electrical discipline.
- Ensure team development through evaluation, guidance and mentoring National Electricians on the job.
- Understanding of Client Work Management / Permit to Work system would be an advantage.
- 10 years’ minimum experience in Electrical in a plant maintenance or construction complex associated with the Oil and Gas Industry
- Trained & certified for craft to PNG/Australian Standards
- Installation & Maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area (EEHA) preferred.
- Adept at trouble shooting and repairing electrical faults in equipment.
- Capable and experienced in working on high voltage equipment (6.6 Kv).
- Capable and experienced in interpreting design drawings, installing, dismantling, troubleshooting / analyzing, calibrating, modifying and commissioning all electronic electrical switchgear and other electrical equipment such as, but not limited to the following: Switchgear, Motor control centres, Circuit breakers, Electrical motors, Lighting fixtures, Valve operators.
