Reporting to the Electrical Coordinator, this position will job shadow and support Electrical Journeypersons in both preventative and non-preventative electrical troubleshooting and repair of machinery, equipment, and technology. More specifically, this position is responsible for:

• Utilizing technical skills to execute planned maintenance and addressing break-in work (PMs, inspections, rounds, rebuilds, planned maintenance down days)
• Testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical and electronic components
• Documenting all maintenance work (scheduled and break-in) and its status within the work order system and maintenance logbook

• Adhering to all Site and Department Safe Practices, and ensuring anyone working in their immediate area is held to those same standards

• Assisting in the troubleshooting and programming in distributed controls (DCS) and programmable controls (PLC)
• Assisting qualified tradespeople in their day-to-day activities
• Maintaining and installing control equipment

• Participating in preventative maintenance, continuous improvement and process improvement

This role offers an optimal work experience in all aspects of the Electrical and Instrumentation trades in a safety-conscientious environment.

• Education Required: High School Diploma, enrolled in an Electrical, Controls and Technology programs and in good academic standing
• Available for full-time work from September to December 2026
