Job Description

As an Electrical Instructor, you will report to the CAE Senior Instructor. Utilising methods such as face-to-face, blended learning, eLearning, emulators, and part-task trainers, you will deliver a range of courses from the PSTC suite of training including but not limited to:

  • Naval Electrical Systems and Equipment Maintenance
  • Naval Power Generation Equipment
  • Integrated Platform Management Systems Operation/Maintenance
  • PLC Programming/Maintenance
  • All activities necessary to deliver specific training courses
  • Support operation instruction to ensure successful training outcomes and training events
  • Perform in the role as a SME
  • Implementing approved changes maintaining the learning management packages
  • Demonstrate and integrate safe behaviour in day-to-day operations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain within first 12months of employment)
  • Cert III or higher in Electrical Fitting or similar
  • Ideally will have a Naval background, but not essential
  • Ability to work on-site, 5 days a week at Randwick Barracks
  • Ability to obtain/maintain an Australia Defence Security Clearance – must be an AU Citizen!

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in training development and learning package maintenance.
  • Background in Naval Defence instructional roles or equivalent technical training positions.
