As an Electrical & Installation Engineer based in Kulim, you will oversee electrical and instrumentation performance across our northern onsite plants. Your primary mission is to ensure continuous gas supply and operational excellence while strictly adhering to safety standards, driving business objectives, and meeting our customers' critical needs.
Collaborate with internal operations teams to execute maintenance activities efficiently and on schedule.
Respond promptly to operational issues, performing thorough troubleshooting and abnormal situation analysis to minimize equipment downtime.
Monitor plant process parameters, assess equipment deviations, and implement corrective actions in consultation with leadership.
Support the implementation of improvement plans stemming from internal and external audits, as well as Root Cause Analyses (RCA).
Identify, manage, and ensure proper storage of critical spare parts, while maintaining accurate tool inventories and consumable monitoring systems.
Manage contractors by overseeing work delegation, cost control, competency assessments, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance.
Maintain full ownership of all instrumentation (transmitters, control valves, sensors) and electrical systems across Onsite APSAs and TGM.
Manage the backup and maintenance of plant-related operational software while upholding the site's ISO system standards.
Plan, execute, and follow up on scheduled Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) preventive maintenance and calibration programs.
Ensure all maintenance and operational activities strictly adhere to mandatory regulatory requirements and corporate safety guidelines.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
At least 3 to 4 years of proven hands-on experience in industrial plant maintenance, with a strict focus on electrical systems and instrumentation.
Strong working knowledge of both preventive and corrective maintenance practices within a manufacturing or process plant environment.
Technical proficiency in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting SCADA and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
Practical experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance schedules.
Comprehensive understanding of mandatory regulatory requirements for maintenance, testing, and facility inspections.
