Under limited supervision, this individual will effectively perform diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex Infrared (IR) products to component level as required, resulting in the successful repair and maintenance of Teledyne FLIR Imaging Systems. This individual must be able to read wiring diagrams and schematics and assist internal and external customers (via in-person, phone, email, etc.) to resolve service issues.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine diagnosis, repair, refurbishment, service and support for all Imaging Systems products.

  • Assist Engineering in development and implementation of system upgrades, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and new product implementation.

  • Develop standard repair and maintenance procedures, documented to company and ISO standards.

  • Provide technical support in the development of customer service spare parts inventory, including establishing requirements for content and quantity.

  • Effectively provide customer support via telephone or e-mail regarding technical issues.

  • Provide accurate repair estimates which include labor and material requirements.

  • Support the servicing and maintenance of Imaging Systems demonstration equipment.

  • Provide technical leadership and training for all lower level technicians requiring operator and maintenance training on Imaging Systems and assist in developing process, procedure and instruction manuals.

  • Performs other job related duties as required.

Job Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 - 7 years of prior work experience in a related field required.

  • 3-5 years of prior experience servicing thermal imaging equipment a strong plus.

  • AS degree in electronics or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills required, with proficiency using electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, etc.).

  • Interpersonal and telephone communication skills required.

  • Some technical training experience is a plus.

  • Technical knowledge of computers, computer peripherals and software programs.

  • Able and willing to life a minimum of 45 pounds unassisted as needed.

Salary Range:

$62,800.00-$83,700.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
