Tesco Controls is seeking an Electrical Estimator Level II that will play a critical role in the development and execution of competitive electrical construction bids. In this position, you will analyze project requirements, develop accurate and detailed cost estimates, strategically select suppliers and subcontractors, and ensure pricing aligns with both client expectations and company profitability goals. You will produce clear, comprehensive bid documentation, collaborate closely with project teams and vendors, and support proposal development from initial scope review through final submission—serving as a key technical and commercial resource throughout the estimating lifecycle.

What you will do:

  • Use Level 1’s prepared documentation to develop complete and competitive electrical bids.
  • Select electrical equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors strategically to optimize cost, quality, and lead time.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with electrical contractors, GCs, and suppliers during the bidding phase.
  • Develop labor estimates for electrical crews, factoring in installation methods, productivity rates, and project conditions.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and historical project data to improve bid positioning.
  • Ensure all bids comply with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and safety standards.

Demonstrated Skills:

  • Strong understanding of NEC, local codes, and industry best practices for electrical installations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for supplier and contractor engagement.
  • Proficiency with electrical estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
    • 3+ years in electrical estimating, project management, or related role with a proven track record of competitive bid success.
