We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager to join our MVSec Ops Engineering team in Wendell, NC at Siemens E&A U.S. headquarters. Siemens Electrification & Automation business unit is enabling a more reliable, resilient, and sustainable electric grid. By partnering with utilities and EPCs, our integrated, turnkey electrical systems support grid modernization, capacity expansion, and energy transition for now and the future.

This hybrid position will be based in Wendell, NC. Located in the heart of the Research Triangle about 20 minutes east of Raleigh, Wendell offers top-rated schools, a mild climate, easy access to mountains and coast, and a cost of living that allows our compensation to go further. You’ll make an impact by:

  • Empowering and mentoring a talented engineering team, guiding professional growth, talent planning, and high-performance standards.
  • Bridging cross-functional teams—from sales and quality to global engineering and the manufacturing floor—to achieve seamless operational execution.
  • Directing end-to-end electrical engineering project execution to ensure on-time delivery, rigorous quality standards, and technical compliance.
  • Partnering closely with manufacturing operations to resolve production challenges, eliminate non-conformances, and accelerate continuous improvement.
  • Championing digital workflows, design standardization, and process optimizations that elevate engineering productivity and product quality.
  • Measuring team effectiveness through key metrics and shaping strategic initiatives for long-term business growth.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in electrical engineering, product engineering, or power distribution systems.
  • Two (2) or more years of leadership experience, including direct supervision, project leadership, technical leadership, or team coordination responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and production environments.
  • Knowledge of electrical power distribution equipment, protection and control systems, and industrial electrical design practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Medium Voltage Switchgear products.
  • Experience with Siemens 8DJH36, SieBreak, or similar medium-voltage platforms.
  • Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, NEMA, and IEC standards.
  • Experience with EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SAP, Teamcenter, NXTools, or similar engineering systems.
  • Previous people management experience with performance management and talent development responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting product localization or engineering transformation initiatives.
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Business Administration.

The pay range for this position is $102,459 - $175,644 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
