• Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering design procedures and plans to ensure accurate, timely delivery of tasks by the

  electrical design team.

• Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers, overseeing design services to meet project deadlines and quality

  standards.

• Ensure consistency of electrical designs with project specifications, codes, and established design criteria throughout

  project execution.

• Manage design scope development and support the tendering process, including the selection and oversight of design

  consultants and third-party reviewers.

• Lead and participate in Value Engineering (VE), constructability reviews, and other design workshops to optimize

  electrical system design.

• Maintain communication with the Project Management Team on all field-driven design changes and ensure timely

  processing of contract modifications.

• Monitor workload distribution, track project progress, and prepare regular reports for senior management and clients.

• Act as the primary liaison with design consultants to resolve design issues and ensure coordination with construction

  teams.

• Collaborate closely with clients to communicate and resolve ongoing design and construction challenges

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of project drawings, specifications, contractual documents, and construction

  timelines for electrical works.

• All project teams, Procurement, Tender, Technical Design offices, SEC-EDD, Material suppliers

  support, all Engineering teams,

• REQUIRED SKILLS

• · Strong understanding of local and international electrical codes and standards (e.g.,

  NEC, IEC, BS).

• · Proficient in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), and electrical load

  calculation software (e.g., ETAP, Dialux, etc.).

• · Expertise in preparing design briefs, design management plans, and reviewing

  consultant deliverables.

• · Experience with design coordination, interdisciplinary integration, and

  constructability considerations.

• · Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• · Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to design issues.

• · Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
