Your Opportunity

Your creativity will be applied to a variety of projects including roadway lighting, intelligent transportation systems, CAV/AV, smart mobility, micro-mobility, active transportation, data analytics, smart cities, climate change adaptation and more.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Electrical/Lighting Design in support of a variety of projects including: renewable energy systems, parks, roadways, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), transportation facilities, site development projects, and electrical infrastructure design.
  • Prepare reports and develop planning documents under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
  • Perform voltage drop calculations, conduit fill calculations and design of power distribution systems under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to understand client’s needs.
  • Evaluate technical product documentation for incorporating requirements into design documents.
  • Assist with the production of detailed, high-quality final design reports, plans, specifications, and estimates in accordance with applicable procedures and standards.
  • Peer review plans and provide quality control reviews of technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
  • Assist the project manager with invoicing, managing, and monitoring financial performance of project budgets.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Ability to review technical documents, plans, and data sheets to establish conformance with design criteria.
  • Ability to perform routine calculations such as voltage drop and conduit fill calculations to support design of power distribution systems.
  • Ability to research technical topics and present information in a clear and organized manner.

Education and Experience

  • Enrolled in an ABET accredited university in pursuit of a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
