Job Description

At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

More Than a Job: A Mission

We seek a passionate Power Distribution Systems Engineer ready to design and implement advanced rail solutions, collaborating with dedicated teams to ensure operational excellence. This role offers ownership of complex projects and the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy in transportation.

Your Role, Your Impact

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless service integration and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure reliability through rigorous diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and rapid response to technical issues.
  • Champion innovation by adopting new technologies and improving service methodologies.
  • Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or related Engineering field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in field service or rail systems maintenance.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and familiarity with rail industry standards.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills suited for professional and team management roles.

How Success Is Measured

  • Consistent achievement of project delivery timelines and strategic maintenance goals.
  • Effective collaboration and leadership within multidisciplinary service teams.
  • Reduction in service defects and increased operational efficiency through proactive troubleshooting.

Alstom, A Great Place to Grow

  • Work with cutting-edge rail technology and contribute to Alstom’s strategic vision.
  • Make a global impact from the Newark office, connecting communities and cities.
  • Advance your career through continuous learning and professional development.

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000

Here, progress isn't always easy but the impact is real. Because the scale is massive, the tasks are complex when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
