Electrical Engineer – Substation Design (AIS/GIS up to 400kV)

We are looking for a driven engineer to join our Energy Business Stream in Gurgaon. You will work on diverse, first-of-their-kind projects and grow within a collaborative international environment.

What You'll Do

  • Design AIS and GIS substations up to 400kV with accuracy and technical depth
  • Prepare Single Line Diagrams, Protection One Line Diagrams, earthing, lightning, and cabling layouts
  • Develop auxiliary LVAC and LVDC system designs and detailed cable schedules
  • Review equipment drawings, control schematics, CRP schemes, and substation automation systems
  • Perform CT/PT sizing calculations and review PLCC and FOTE systems
  • Apply SEC Standards, IS, American, British, and European codes of practice
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geographies to deliver quality outcomes

What You Bring

  • 10 or more years of experience in substation design, preferably from a consulting background
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with AIS and GIS substations up to 400kV
  • Solid knowledge of auxiliary systems, cabling design, and protection schemes
  • Familiarity with international engineering standards and codes of practice
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects and work well in diverse teams
