Textron Systems is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership and delivery support for the development, integration, test, and production of complex electrical hardware. This role will work closely with electrical design engineers, systems engineers, manufacturing, test, suppliers, and program leadership to ensure electrical hardware is delivered on schedule and meets all technical, quality, and performance requirements. The candidate should possess good communication and presentation skills and be comfortable interacting within a multidiscipline team. This position requires that the candidate be a US citizen with or capable of receiving a secret level security clearance.ResponsibilitiesParticipating in resolving non-conformances related to electronics boxes and cables that develop during builds in support of hardware integration and delivery to our program customer. Provide day-to-day engineering supporting the integration and delivery of electronic and cable flight hardware to our program customer.Lead or support technical investigations of hardware failures, discrepancies, and nonconformancesCoordinate with electrical designers, systems engineers, manufacturing, test engineering, quality, suppliers, and program management to resolve hardware issues.Provide engineering disposition and technical direction for hardware discrepancies encountered during manufacturing and test.Coordinating engineering changes and ensuring impacts to hardware already in fabrication or test are understood and addressed.Creating Technical Data Packages that include 3D drawings, specifications and materials lists for components and assemblies of electrical and electro-mechanical applications.Preparing and directing high quality electrical and electro-mechanical detail and assembly drawings and engineering change notices in support of hardware changes due to non-conformances or build issuesWriting technical documents, including, but not limited to, Supplier Document Requirements List (SDRL) documentsSupporting continuous improvement of electrical hardware development and delivery processes.
QualificationsThe candidate should be comfortable as a designer of electrical components and systems subjected to extreme hypersonic flight conditions. The activities include packaging design of electronics systems and interconnects, the development of interface control documents, and understanding of designing for electrical manufacturing and assembly techniques.Demonstrated participation in an electrical design team activities leading to qualified electronics and cables capable of surviving flight conditions.Experience troubleshooting electrical hardware using schematics, test data, instrumentation, and engineering analysis.Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical problems and drive issues to closure.Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.BS or MS in Electrical Engineering 2+ years’ experience in a related field for Level II, 5+ years of experience in a related field for Level IIIPossesses or has ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance*This role is open at multiple levels. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $92,600 - $176,200 per year.
