As an Operations ElectricalEngineeryou willbe responsible formanagement oftheSubstation & BOPElectrical Maintenance program for Invenergy’soperating fleet.
Responsibilities
Manage substation and balance of plant electrical maintenanceprogram, including NERC-required/NETA-recommended testing and inspections.
Coordinate withinternalteams and external maintenancecontractorsall details to successfully complete routine, planned maintenancescopes.
Coordinate completion of open maintenance items, and work with regional Operations Electrical Engineers to carry outadditionalscope
Oversee the integration ofPowerDBfor managing electrical test records
Maintainrelationships with existing pool of maintenance contractors. Work with Procurementteamtodevelop new contractor relationships
Work with NERC Compliance Team/Leadto ensure maintenance program aligns with NERC requirements
Review equipmentmaintenance andtesting reportsto ensureoperationalsafety,assetreliabilityandadherence toregulatorycompliancestandards
Review testing requirements of third-party sites and adapt internal programs to fit new customer needs
Work withProjectDevelopment team to ensuretest records fromnewprojects areturned over to operations
Travel to sites and oversee contractor testing, and help train new engineers
Requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering or similar major
3-5+ years of work experience
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Strong oral and written communication skills
Some travel is required (< 25 %)
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Skills
Advanced knowledge of three-phase powersystems,high voltage electrical equipment.Basicunderstanding of protective relaying concepts.
Practical or fieldexperiencein electrical substation testing andinterpreting test results;Prior experience withvarious substation equipment test sets is a plus.
In depth knowledge of NESC, NERC and ANSI/IEEE standards and codes;
Experience with renewable generation systems (wind turbines, solar panels/inverters, battery storage) and associated control systems;
Strong verbal and writtencommunicationsskills

Base Pay
$105,000.00 - $130,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 20% - 30%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
