As an Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for designing, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical or electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings to advance the equipment that supports our technology. Using your technical experience and critical thinking skills, you will perform engineering analysis, generate test reports, develop innovative solutions, and create documentation for product releases. You will also coordinate the procurement and assembly of components, identify sources of critical parts, and resolve technical issues to ensure peak performance.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, cross functional roles etc) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion.
  • Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
  • Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with Company policies regarding Engineering/Lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality and safety.
  • Drives performance from teams to meet the functional OKRs, collaborating with the key stake holders of the business units to review KPI’s and take necessary corrective measures for effective results/outcomes
  • Ownership to broadcast KPI of the processes, Backlogs, Cycle-times, Quality Etc. on weekly, monthly and quarterly cadence as required.

Job Specific Knowledge:

  • Sound understanding of business processes related to Product & Engineering Change Management
  • Working knowledge of PLM / ERP / PDM / 3D CAD (eg SAP, Teamcenter, NX)
  • Working knowledge of Project Mgmt tools (eg Jira, Agile, Smartsheets)
  • Working knowledge of Quality Methods and problem solving (Lean / Six Sigma / 8D)
  • Familiar with analytics / automations (Tableau & Power BI dashboards, Phyton)
  • Familiar with Operations and Supply Chain functions
  • Exposure to Semiconductor domain

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate & positively influence people. Capable of conducting interactions with individuals and groups to gain cooperation and effective in conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects & sharing thoughts and ideas.
  • Position requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials' core values.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 8+ years of experience in a related field


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices, key business drivers, competition in the marketplace, and how your area of expertise integrates with others  

  • Demonstrated leadership skills to lead small projects as needed
