Are you interested in contributing to solve the energy crisis by developing a clean and sustainable energy source which replicates the Sun on Earth? Would you like to work in a team with a strong feeling of purpose and belonging?
In the Section for Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy (PPFE) at the Department of Physics, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), we conduct research in plasma physics that contributes to paving the way for future fusion power plants. Fusion is the process that powers the Sun, and fusion research aims to develop safe, clean, CO₂-neutral power generation based on the same principles, while utilizing abundant fuel resources available on Earth. DTU is currently establishing a national infrastructure for fusion research and technology that will serve as a focal point for both academic and industrial activities in fusion energy. Specifically, the infrastructure will include a novel type of fusion device that could contribute to the realization of fusion-based power plants.
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and construction of the Danish Fusion Infrastructure. The position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of fusion energy research and contribute to the development of advanced experimental facilities. The role will involve both low- and high-power electrical systems, ranging from instrumentation and control to high-voltage technologies for fusion applications.
We offer an interesting and challenging job in an international atmosphere with the focus on research, teaching, and innovation. We offer flexibility in the position. In the area of technical and natural sciences, DTU is one of the leading research and education institutions in Europe.
Salary and employment terms in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for Craftsmen and Technicians or the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
In addition, supplements can be negotiated in accordance with DTU’s salary structure for academic staff employed in technical-administrative positions at DTU (AC TAP) along with technicians, constructors, maintenance/technical staff and some assistants, etc. under the specified organizational agreements at DTU: www.inside.dtu.dk/en/human-resources/during-employment/salary/salary-structures.
