Job Description

About the job

Delart is home to a team of world-class engineers and project leaders dedicated to developing the next generation of advanced networking technologies, consumer devices, and innovative technology solutions. Trusted by some of the world’s leading technology companies, we deliver highly scalable, mission-critical solutions that power both consumer and business applications globally. Since our founding in 2017, we have been at the forefront of designing cutting-edge networking, telecommunications, and consumer products, while driving end-to-end project execution and creating transformative technology applications.

This position entails providing advanced electrical engineering support across various Contract Manufacturers (CMs) within China, ensuring high-quality production processes. The role focuses on improving product yield and quality by executing Design of Experiments (DOEs), analyzing yield reports, and performing failure analysis on printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate will collaborate with diverse teams to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions, ultimately driving the enhancement of manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite build support to CMs, facilitating seamless engineering builds and resolving issues swiftly.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze DOEs to enhance manufacturing processes and boost yield efficiency.
  • Review and interpret yield reports, identifying trends and suggesting corrective measures.
  • Investigate and address SMT and FATP errors, partnering with manufacturing and quality teams to conduct root cause analysis and apply lasting solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive failure analyses of PCBs, including electrical troubleshooting and component diagnostics, documenting findings for further action.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, design, and test engineering) to effectuate findings into tangible improvements.
  • Support NPI (New Product Introduction) and sustaining activities by linking lab validation and production test strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to operational, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Craft precise technical documentation such as build reports, DOE summaries, yield analysis, and error logs, suitable for executive updates.
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic, multi-site setting.
  • Familiar with Android OS for capturing SOC/MCU logs, reading code, and collaborating with software teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in manufacturing support, preferably within the consumer electronics or wearables sector.
  • Proven hands-on experience in CM build support, including troubleshooting.
  • Deep understanding of SMT and FATP processes, error analysis, and yield improvement techniques.
  • Proficient in DOEs and yield report interpretation.
  • Skilled with lab instruments like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power meters, along with PCB failure analysis methods.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a history of resolving issues to their root cause.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, able to explain intricate findings across teams.
  • Ability to travel within the APAC region as needed.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in NPI/manufacturing validation and linking lab validation to production test strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with automated test systems and scripting in Python or LabVIEW.
  • Knowledge of hardware product-related regulatory and safety considerations.
  • Skilled in interpreting schematics/blueprints and establishing validation specifications.
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a knack for influencing without formal authority.
