Operates sophisticated and highly automated manufacturing processes in a dynamic and always interesting work environment. As a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting daily operations, driving continuous improvement, and delivering high-impact engineering projects. This role requires strong technical depth, collaborative problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment.

Monday through Friday Day shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with fellow engineers, maintenance technicians, and process operators to solve complex problems and accomplish process improvements.
  • Design, specify and install instrumentation, electrical devices, power distribution elements, and control systems in new and existing processes.
  • Manage the electrical and controls scope within large and small projects, including schedule development, budgeting, and resource coordination.
  • Prioritize competing projects and balance immediate and longer-term needs.
  • Oversee contractors involved in equipment and wiring installation.


Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years relevant industrial experience or process engineering experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team, either as a leader or participant
  • Proficiency with structured problem-solving skills (A3, six sigma) and ability to apply LEAN principles.
  • Project management skills to execute a project from definition/scoping to completion of the installation and associated documentation.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.


Required Technical Skills:

  • Ability to develop P&IDs, electrical schematic drawings, and panel/equipment layout drawings.
  • Experience with low voltage power distribution systems up to and including 480V.
  • Motor control systems including VFD programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of NEC hazardous area classification – especially Class II, divisions 1 & 2 – and the associated design and installation requirements.
  • Experience with process control systems and instrumentation as well as managing PID control loops.
  • Understanding of robotics, process control methods and equipment.
  • Experience with grounding and bonding systems for industrial systems in high hazard areas.
  • Experience with industrial automation communication systems including I/O networks and ethernet communications.
