Our award-winning client is seeking a Electrical Engineer Automation to join their team.We're seeking a skilled Electrical & Automation Engineer to join our team! You'll play a key role in developing and managing capital expense (CAPEX) projects, from initial concept to successful completion. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact our facility's efficiency through process optimization efforts.
Responsibilities:
Lead and Manage CAPEX Projects: Initiate, manage, and deliver projects using CAPEX processes, including equipment monitoring, stabilization, and improvement initiatives.
Technical Expertise: Provide detailed engineering across instrumentation, PLCs, power distribution, and equipment integration. This includes electrical design, power distribution design, and automation system design.
Operational Excellence Partner: Collaborate closely with operations leaders to provide technical support and drive improvements.
Troubleshooting Specialist: Troubleshoot technical issues related to industrial and manufacturing equipment.
Process Optimization Champion: Develop and refine engineering procedures, while actively collecting and interpreting process data.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering holder with 3-8 years of hands-on experience planning and installing electrical equipment and automation controls in an industrial setting.
(Preferred) An ISA Certified Automation Professional with a proven track record of project management success.
A skilled problem-solver with experience troubleshooting and optimizing electrical control systems for production machinery.
A safety-conscious professional with a strong understanding of industrial safety protocols and construction methods.
An adept user of Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proficient in Auto-CAD for engineering drawings.
Additionally, you possess:
Knowledge of equipment, machine design standards, safety principles (ANSI, ASTM, FM, NFPA, IEC), and electrical codes (NFPA-70 & NFPA-70E).
Familiarity with database systems for process control applications.
Expertise in installing and programming Rockwell Automation PLC systems.
A working knowledge of automation communication systems.
The ability to install, set up, and troubleshoot AC/DC drives and motors.
