What you’ll do:

Due to continued growth across our mining business, we're seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Newcastle Mining team. This role is ideally suited to someone with around 3-7 years' experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop towards a Senior Electrical Engineer position.

You'll work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams delivering a diverse range of mining, industrial and infrastructure projects for leading Australian and international clients.

  • Delivering electrical engineering designs for mining, minerals processing, industrial and infrastructure projects.
  • Assisting in the design and development of power distribution systems, substations, HV/LV systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Supporting studies, concept development, FEED and detailed design activities.
  • Preparing technical calculations, reports, specifications and design documentation.
  • Coordinating with mechanical, structural, civil, process and control systems engineers to deliver integrated project outcomes.
  • Participating in design reviews, risk assessments and safety-in-design workshops.
  • Supporting site inspections, commissioning activities and construction-phase engineering services.
  • Building strong relationships with clients through clear communication and reliable project delivery.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of engineering standards and processes.

About you:

We're looking for an engineer who combines technical capability with a practical mindset and a genuine interest in delivering projects that support the resources and industrial sectors.

  • A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Approximately 3-7 years' experience within mining, industrial, infrastructure, energy or heavy industry environments.
  • Experience designing electrical power systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and engineering practices.
  • Exposure to project delivery across studies, design and/or construction phases.
  • An understanding of HV/LV systems, power distribution, motor control and industrial electrical systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • A commitment to quality, safety and technical excellence.
