The Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in steering the Electrical function aspects of our greenfield project Nirvana. You will leverage your expertise in the Electrical design, procurement and construction. You will liaise with global engineering Subject matter experts for precision and providing strategic insights to drive project success. You will collaborate closely with Project team, stakeholders, external project consultants and contractors to deliver the project on time within scope and within budget.

The Job will be based initially Ingredion project office at Ahmedabad or selected EPCM (Detail Engineering Procurement and Construction Management) office and will eventually be transferred to the construction site (Payal Industrial Park – Pakhajan, Dahej). Upon project completion, this position will then become the Nirvana plant Senior Electrical Engineer reporting directly to the Plant Maintenance Manager.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of all electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems of new greenfield project from detailed design phase, procurement, vendor evaluation & selection, execution of site work, commissioning and startup phases to ensure successful project delivery
  • Review and approve detailed technical drawings, schematics, specifications and electrical calculations ensuring all design meet project and regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate technical bids, review vendor documents, oversee the procurement of electrical equipment like transformers, circuit breakers, cables and etc…
  • Conduct site assessments, lead electrical installation and perform on-site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to plans
  • Collaborate with project team, consultants, site contractors to ensure
  • Communication: Mange and handle streamlined communication between internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
  • Quality Control: Ensure Electrical design philosophy complies with Ingredion safety standards, and local /regulatory requirements.
  • Team Interaction: Collaborate with other RTO functions to understand project requirements, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Prepare and present technical reports, work closely with project team / Vendors / contractors to collect all Electrical manuals, calibration certificates, test reports, QC plan and all necessary technical documentation like Pre start up and start up check lists, commissioning & handover documentation. Train maintenance team for the critical equipment involved in the project.
  • Standardization: Develop PM plan for the greenfield project with applying Maintenance Reliability standards including spare parts management plan to sustain the performance of plant.

Mandatory requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • 7-10 years of experience in industrial power distribution
  • the ability to apply analytical problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve root causes
  • the ability to distill complex technical information to speak to a broad group of stakeholders and facilitate a clear understanding of risk
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards including OSHA, ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and NEMA.
  • Proven experience in handling large CAPEX and delivering projects within budget and on time. Green field project added advantage
  • Excellent English language skills both written and spoken
  • An intelligent and assertive person who has the confidence to challenge people while building relationships with staff at different organizational levels
