While reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Leader, this position will be responsible for providing leadership and project management in the engineering design, procurement, construction, and implementation of systems and equipment for production, R&D processes, and building infrastructure. The position will also lead and/or participate in problem solving efforts when required to troubleshoot and support facilities and process equipment in an industrial environment ensuring compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and company policies.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in industrial power distribution, electrical controls, automation systems, and facility infrastructure and have a demonstrated ability to support continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing setting.
In this role, you will:
Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve facility electrical distribution systems, including medium and low-voltage power systems, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), and transformers
Provide engineering support in problem solving efforts for manufacturing equipment and process electrical systems with a multi-discipline technical staff and maintenance when required
Develop scopes of work and recommend solution options related to capital projects and electrical solutions with cost estimates at various FEL project stages.
Lead the onsite Electrical Safety Program ensuring compliance with NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory requirements while working closely with EHS on program updates and training
Support electrical safety initiatives, including arc flash studies, lockout/tagout programs, and preventive maintenance activities
Work closely with management to define and coordinate the necessary engineering resources outside of discipline
Manage project team members and contractors in the safe execution of projects
Communicate with project team members and stakeholders on status with respect to scope, schedule, and budget
Capture changes to electrical systems and provide updates to design drawings for building record revision
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5 years of Electrical Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of power and electrical distribution systems and equipment
Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, technical drawings and specifications
Experience with AutoCAD

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)
10 years of experience demonstrating leadership, management, and execution of electrical engineering projects
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) certified Electrical Engineering Technology Engineering Technologist
Experience in metals manufacturing, heavy industrial, or continuous-process environments.
Experience with Rockwell Automation, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.
Knowledge of SCADA, HMI, and industrial networking systems.
