⚡ Electrical Engineer

Springers Solar is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer (RPEQ) to join our close-knit Projects Team, working across our commercial and complex solar and battery projects.

Established in 2002, Springers Solar is a family-owned, culture-focused Queensland company and one of the state’s leading solar and battery installers. Our Projects Team delivers some of our most technically challenging projects, and we’re looking for an engineer who wants to be part of the team making them happen.

🔧What you’ll be doing

As our Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a key role across the full project lifecycle - from engineering design and certification through to Energex connection agreements, site inspections, commissioning and grid connection

You’ll work closely with our administration team, engineers, QTPs, directors, project teams and electricians, providing technical expertise and ensuring our commercial and complex solar and battery projects are safe, compliant and designed to perform.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising RPEQ-level electrical engineering design requirements across our projects
• Designing and developing small and large-scale commercial solar and battery systems
• Preparing design certification reports, including system details, diagrams and engineering documentation
• Performing voltage rise and other electrical engineering calculations
• Reviewing designs for compliance with relevant Australian Standards and technical requirements
• Managing and overseeing Energex connection agreements and network requirements
• Conducting on-site inspections and providing engineering support throughout project delivery
• Commissioning network connections and grid protection devices
• Preparing compliance documentation, including as-built drawings and inspection and test reports
• Working closely with QTPs and electricians to resolve technical issues and ensure projects are delivered correctly

✅What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who enjoys practical, project-based engineering and wants to see their work come to life.

You’ll have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Current RPEQ (Electrical) registration
• Experience in electrical engineering, ideally within solar, renewable energy, battery storage or power systems
• Experience designing solar PV and battery systems
• Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and electrical compliance requirements
• Experience preparing engineering reports, certification and compliance documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on safety and compliance
• The ability to work collaboratively with engineers, QTPs, electricians, project teams, administration and senior leadership

Experience with commercial solar, Energex/network connections, protection systems and relevant design software will be highly regarded.
