PACCAR India is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team in Pune, focused on the design and development of advanced electrical systems and wiring harness solutions for commercial vehicles.

In this role, you will bring your expertise in electrical system design, wiring harness development, and system integration to deliver innovative, reliable, and production-ready solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute CAD activities effectively.
  • Interpret design requirements, perform clearance checks, and ensure adherence to drawing standards, GD&T, and BOM accuracy.
  • Provide regular program status updates through weekly and monthly reports.
  • Design and develop automotive electrical systems and wiring harnesses using Siemens Capital (Capital XC/Logic) and Creo.
  • Create and maintain schematics, harness layouts, routing, and installation drawings as per project needs.
  • Develop and support electrical system architecture, topology, and circuit design, including CAN communication and multicore wiring.
  • Perform 3D cabling, routing, modelling, and detailing in Creo, ensuring manufacturability and serviceability.
  • Support integration of electrical systems across engine, chassis, cab, and sleeper assemblies.
  • Manage engineering data in PLM systems (Windchill), ensuring accuracy and version control.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, GD&T, and design guidelines.
  • Handle complex assemblies, ensuring proper packaging and routing feasibility.
  • Conduct design validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution at both virtual and vehicle levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams, contributing to design reviews and project deliverables.
  • Maintain project documentation and trackers; provide updates using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clarity on requirements and deliverables

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with knowledge of automobile domain

Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:

  • 1–3 years of experience in automotive electrical engineering with knowledge of vehicle systems and components
  • Strong proficiency in Creo Parametric and Windchill PLM
  • Hands-on experience in Capital Harness Systems (Capital XC/Logic)
  • Strong understanding of electrical system design, topology, and wiring harness development
  • Experience in wiring harness design (mandatory), including selection of wires, insulation, fuses, relays, connectors, and clips
  • Exposure to high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) harness design
  • Good knowledge of truck systems and large assemblies
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawing standards
  • Ability to identify and resolve design and quality issues during validation stages
  • Familiarity with wire harness manufacturing processes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global engineering teams.
