Carrier is the leading worldwide provider of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, fire, security, and cold chain solutions. We invented modern air conditioning, and our team of pioneers and innovators has a long history of developing cutting-edge technologies.

Addvolt, now part of Carrier, delivers advanced electrification technology, integrated power management, and power electronics capabilities for transport refrigeration and auxiliary systems. Driving innovation in the electrification and decarbonization of onboard systems for refrigerated trailers, trucks, vans, and containers, Addvolt empowers fleets to reduce fuel consumption, minimize emissions, and operate more efficiently with remarkably low noise levels.

By combining Addvolt’s innovative power solutions with Carrier Transicold’s expertise in transport refrigeration, we are accelerating the transition to a more sustainable, efficient, and intelligent cold chain worldwide.

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer within the Addvolt PLM Team, you will play a key role in bridging Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Engineering, R&D, and Production teams. You will support the implementation and management of electrical and firmware-related product changes, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and alignment across departments.

This is a highly collaborative and technical role where you will contribute to product development, electrical harness design, PCB workflow management, firmware configuration control, and continuous process improvement. You will work closely with international teams, including stakeholders in the USA, in a dynamic and innovation-driven environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with Electrical Schematics Drafters and Engineering teams to implement product changes.

  • Review new product 3D models and associated 2D electrical harness drawings, ensuring accuracy and clarity for suppliers.

  • Monitor design workflows and manage data release into the PLM system (Windchill).

  • Generate 3D electrical harness models using CREO Pro-Cabling, ensuring compliance with Addvolt/Carrier standards and safety requirements.

  • Create 2D electrical harness schematics using CREO Schematics or similar tools.

  • Support production teams by identifying and resolving manufacturing challenges.

  • Align multiple departments through structured process implementation and workflow optimization.

  • Review new R&D designs and manage PCB revisions using ALTIUM.

  • Manage PCB-related workflows, including Gerber files, varnish files, and BOMs.

  • Develop and improve connections between ALTIUM, PLM (Windchill), and CREO systems.

  • Manage firmware configurations, version control, compatibility matrices, and change logs.

  • Define and improve workflows between ERP systems and digital production environments.

  • Review product release validation criteria and testing procedures.

  • Act as a technical bridge between engineering, development, and production teams.

Role Purpose:

As an Electrical Engineer at Addvolt, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality, process efficiency, and successful product lifecycle management.

Beyond maintaining technical documentation and workflows, you will help drive innovation and operational excellence by implementing advanced engineering and PLM practices.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • 3–5+ years of experience in product management related to firmware, PCB, or wiring for manufacturing environments.

  • Strong experience with electrical model creation using CREO Schematics or similar software.

  • Ability to generate detailed 2D PCB and harness drawings using corporate standards.

  • Experience managing PCB and product BOMs using ALTIUM or similar tools.

  • Ability to review and understand firmware code, ideally with exposure to C/C++.

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Familiarity with PLM systems, preferably Windchill.

  • Experience working in regulated industries.

  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Exposure to Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT).

  • Experience working closely with international teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary

  • Meal allowance

  • Holiday allowance (paid in duodécimos) and Christmas allowance

  • Private health insurance, with optional extension to family members

  • Additional vacation day on your birthday or work anniversary

  • Permanent contract
