Job Description

Who we are:

At DefSecIntel Solutions, we protect what matters by building systems that operate where failure is not an option.

We deliver combat-proven, end-user-driven defence and security solutions for Europe’s border security, defence, and critical infrastructure protection. Our platforms are designed for real operational environments and are already trusted in the field.

We develop, manufacture, and integrate mobile autonomous surveillance systems, unmanned surface vessels, and counter-UAS solutions, all connected through AI-powered command-and-control.

With a talented team of 100+ people, DefSecIntel is headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, with additional manufacturing and maintenance capabilities in Ukraine.

We work closely with leading international partners including the EU and NATO, and contribute to major defence R&D programmes such as the European Defence Fund.

Join us to build mission-ready systems for today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges, and help shape the future of Europe’s security.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who will design electrical systems for new products and work closely with other domain engineers to bring concepts into production. In this role, you will also help increase system reliability, reduce costs, and improve manufacturability across our product portfolio.

What you will be doing

  • Developing complete electrical systems from concept to production

  • Designing electrical solutions and selecting the right hardware components to meet performance and cost goals

  • Creating clear, accurate electrical schematics that move concepts toward production

  • Building prototypes and leading hands-on testing to validate designs and resolve issues early

  • Developing production-ready documentation to support manufacturing, lifecycle management, and user manuals

  • Collaborating across disciplines - working closely with mechanical, software, and other domains to ensure integrated solutions that meet overall product requirements

  • Interfacing with suppliers and manufacturers: Communicate technical requirements to external partners and evaluate their proposals for technical feasibility

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in a relevant field, with a strong history of delivering production-ready electrical systems

  • A proven track record of independently designing complete electrical systems in relevant applications

  • Ability to take a lead role in design work, owning solutions end-to-end from concept and design through testing and delivery

  • Solid understanding of electrical system design for in-vehicle environments, including applicable standards and best practices

Nice-to-haves:

  • A strong educational background in a relevant field such as electrical engineering, electronics, or mechatronics, along with solid knowledge of key tools and domain fundamentals

  • Experience with military-grade electrical system design and component selection for demanding environments

  • Proven expertise in design for manufacturability, with a track record of translating designs into efficient, scalable production solutions

What we offer

  • Meaningful work that supports our mission to create a safer and more secure world

  • The opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the development of innovative technologies and solutions

  • Flexibility in how and where you work, depending on role and project needs

  • Opportunities for professional growth and skills development as the company and projects evolve

  • Recognition for helping grow the team through employee referrals

  • A focus on employee well-being, including access to health- and sports-related benefits

  • Social activities and team events that strengthen collaboration and team spirit
