Job Description

About Tritium

Tritium is a global leader in DC fast charging technology for electric vehicles. We're on a mission to accelerate the world's transition to electric transport — and we need talented engineers to help us get there.

What You'll Do

As the electrical architect for your product area, you'll own the end-to-end electrical design — from concept through to certification — with a particular focus on regulatory compliance, safety, and design robustness.

  • Design electronic and electrical systems for EV charging products
  • Optimise and verify compliant electrical power circuit routing throughout the charger
  • Specify and select safety switchgear and protection circuits
  • Design for and ensure compliance with electromagnetic (EMC/EMI) standards
  • Develop and support verification, compliance, and certification plans
  • Define production test requirements and systems (ICT, AOI, FCT)
  • Ensure all designs meet the Technical Requirement Definition (TRD)
  • Contribute to DFMEA and PFMEA processes
  • Support product roadmap and PRD development
  • Drive DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFS (Design for Serviceability) outcomes
  • Generate technical documentation for testing and certification activities

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • 5–8+ years of experience in a complementary industry
  • Proven experience developing TRDs and component-level specifications
  • Experience managing technical supplier relationships for specialised components
  • Background in power electronics or power systems within a product development context
  • Full product creation lifecycle experience

Nice to have

  • Experience in advanced-tech or high-growth environments
  • Harness design and manufacturing knowledge
  • Mass manufacturing experience
  • Proficiency with Altium and PCBA development
  • Electrical circuit simulation experience (e.g., SPICE)
  • Knowledge of ICT, AOI, and FCT testing methodologies

Why Tritium?

  • Work on technology that’s genuinely shaping the future of transport, not just talking about it.
  • See your impact in the real world, with our chargers deployed globally.
  • Free on-site DC fast charging for your EV.
  • Novated leasing and meaningful employee savings benefits.
  • Flexible access to your earned wages.
  • Global career pathways in a high-performance engineering environment.
  • Half-day each month to spend however you choose — no agenda, no deliverables, just time that's yours.
