The Carlisle Campus Electrical Engineer will be responsible and provide support for the specification/design, implementation/installation, commissioning, startup, and close-out of small-to-large scale capital expenditure projects independently and/or in conjunction with Central Engineering resources. This position will also provide engineering expertise to assist plant-level Maintenance, Production/Operations, EH&S, and management personnel in identifying and solving technical process issues. Technical assistance will require understanding of plant power distribution systems and process/machinery control systems. A practical level of understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles are to be applied to assigned project work.
Standard hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week, with less than 10% travel required. Situations will require occasional additional hours worked per day and /or alternate shifts worked (equipment breakdowns, process issues/troubleshooting, equipment commissioning/startups, etc.). Occasional travel may be needed, in support of projects: planning, prospective equipment or system research, factory acceptance tests, etc.; and for other misc. job-related purposes such as trade shows, training, technical collaboration with other CCM operations.
