Electrical Engineer, this is your challenge

Nestlé Nunspeet is a successful operating unit of the Nestlé Group, the world's leading food, beverage, nutrition and wellness company. Our factory in the Netherlands is producing the most advanced infant formula for both the Nutrition division and the Nestlé Health Science (NHSc) division. Our products with brands as NAN, AL110, Alfaré, Althera and Alfamino are exported to countries all over the world.

In your role you will be supporting the Factory Engineering team on various projects across the whole spectrum of Electrical Engineering in the factory. You will be involved in projects to improve the process, new machinery, sustainability from an Electrical Engineering point of view, ensuring the continued compliance of our factory with the strictest hygiene and quality requirements for the most sensitive of our consumers, babies.

You will manage multiple projects flexibly and with a high degree of autonomy to ensure they are implemented within a running factory environment - fast - efficiently - and well aligned with the daily work of the operations & quality teams!

As Electrical Engineer you have the following responsibilities:

  • Define the electrical solutions in projects with key internal stakeholders according sometimes competing requirements and timeline of overall factory projects & priorities;
  • lead, coordinate closeout and handover individual electrical scope of projects within agreed factory constraints;
  • respect and follow the rules according occupational & food safety, environment and hygiene and ensure these are followed by suppliers, contractors, visitors;
  • ensure that all electrical design is compliant to Dutch, European and internal regulations and that installation is built accordingly;
  • propose and control the costs relating to the electrical scope of the projects autonomously within the budgets and with a strong scope management focus;
  • manage continuous improvement, networking, sharing information & experience in such a way that it becomes a key pillar of the engineering culture;
  • ensure that the new electrical solutions are handed over and aligned in detail with the sites electrical responsible person. As an Electrical Engineer in projects you are the link between electrical suppliers, contractors and the electrical factory team (E&A Team).

As Electrical Engineer you report to the CAPEX Team Leader Engineering and you are part of the Project Engineering team of Nestlé Netherlands.

What we are looking for in our Electrical Engineer?

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar industrial experience;
  • open to newcomers, 3 to 6 years’ experience in a similar function and industry is a plus;
  • experience in managing projects, for newcomers bring an example from outside of work;
  • strong communication skills, curiosity to learn and understand working in a complex environment;
  • flexible and pragmatic approach to challenges, drives solutions with the team;
  • good control of the English and Dutch language.
