Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Senior Manager to oversee data center design initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure all designs optimize reliability, availability, and strict sustainability benchmarks (including PUE and WUE). This role demands compliance with international best practices, regulatory frameworks, safety-in-design principles, cost efficiency, and aggressive speed-to-market timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management: Direct multiple parallel greenfield and fit-out projects across various regional metropolitan areas, delivering them strictly within budget and schedule constraints.

Design Integration: Establish comprehensive design briefs and key performance metrics to guarantee a consistent standard of quality across all engineering deliverables.

Consultant Governance: Manage and hold accountable a diverse external consortium, including master planners, architects, civil/structural engineers, MEP engineers, environmental/LEED consultants, and geotechnical specialists.

Innovation & Collaboration: Partner closely with equipment suppliers and design partners to champion continuous improvement initiatives in safety, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

Candidate Requirements

Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years in a design consultancy environment, including at least 2 years operating at a Principal Engineer level.

Technical Background: Proven design delivery experience across regional metropolitan markets. A practicing Professional Engineer certification is highly desirable.

Industry Expertise: Prior experience working on hyperscale data centers, micro-electronics facilities, or similar mission-critical infrastructure is strongly preferred.

Methodology: Deep familiarity with various project delivery models, including Design-Bid-Build and Design & Build.

Leadership Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder influencing capabilities.
