The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Review Expert to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects in Pakistan. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and assessing electrical engineering designs, ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable standards, industry best practices, and operational requirements. The role will provide technical leadership and independent engineering review to support high-quality project outcomes.

• Conduct independent technical reviews of electrical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and related documentation.
• Assess electrical systems for compliance with relevant local and international codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Identify design deficiencies, technical risks, constructability issues, and opportunities for design optimization.
• Provide technical recommendations and engineering solutions to improve design quality, safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure effective integration of electrical systems with other project disciplines.
• Support project teams in resolving technical issues and addressing design review comments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in technical meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to provide specialist electrical engineering input.
• Ensure that engineering deliverables meet quality requirements and align with project objectives and client expectations.

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering are required.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with significant involvement in design, design review, or engineering support roles.
• Demonstrated experience in reviewing electrical engineering deliverables for infrastructure, industrial, transportation, energy, or major development projects.
• Strong understanding of power distribution systems, electrical equipment, protection systems, and engineering design principles.
• Strong analytical, technical reporting, and communication skills.
