Purpose of Position

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong design and EPC background to support the design review, verification, and assurance of electrical systems for oil and gas projects and various other Industrial projects

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform design review and verification of electrical systems for oil and gas facilities and various other Industrial projects.
  • Review electrical design deliverables including design basis, philosophies, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), power generation and distribution systems (MV & LV).
  • Review UPS systems, earthing, bonding, and lightning protection designs.
  • Review electrical equipment specifications and datasheets (generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, cables, panels).
  • Perform compliance checks against applicable international codes and standards.
  • Identify design gaps, deviations, and non-compliances and raise formal review comments.
  • Conduct inter-disciplinary design checks with mechanical, instrumentation, civil, and process disciplines.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, comment registers, and verification documentation.
  • Participate in technical meetings and provide independent engineering input.

3. Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)

  • Time taken to perform the review & deliver reports to the client
  • Quality of Work and Quality of reports
  • Deliver to client as per contract and client expectations.
  • Client relationship – Retention and Growth.
  • Training team members in various competencies as communicated by the Manager.
  • Compliance of internal and external guidelines, policies, procedures.
  • Meet the Internal and external customer service satisfaction scores (e.g. number of complaints)

4. Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Instrumentation engineering.
  • Professional engineering certification or progress toward certification is an advantage.
  • Membership in relevant professional engineering institutions is a plus.

5. Experience

Approximately 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably around 10 years, in electrical engineering for oil and gas or petrochemical projects.

  • Experience working in Design and/or EPC organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to FEED and detailed design phases, and design review or verification activities.

6Technical Knowledge/Competencies/Functional Competencies

  • Working knowledge of international electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, API).
  • Experience with electrical power generation and distribution systems (Medium & Low Voltage systems)
  • Understanding of hazardous area electrical design and safety-critical systems.
  • Ability to review calculations, identify issues, and propose practical engineering solutions.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
