This is the entry level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees at this entry level solve problems in engineering areas of specialization with close supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop skills and the ability to work with greater independence. Depending upon the desired qualifications of the successful applicant, the hiring manager may elect to fill this position at a higher level within the job hierarchy.
The Duke Energy Nuclear Fleet Corporate Design Engineering (CDE) department is the Design Authority for each of Duke Energy’s six nuclear sites. CDE is responsible for the execution of a fleet portfolio that includes design solutions supporting risk reduction, equipment obsolescence, and plant modernization. The Oconee Nuclear Station (ONS) CDE team manages the capital engineering change portfolio at the ONS site in Seneca, SC. The ONS CDE Electrical Team is seeking to fill the position of Electrical Design Engineer I or II.
The incumbent must meet the minimum ANSI requirements for this position identified within the scope of Nuclear Operating Fleet Administrative Procedure AD-LS-ALL-0011, Confirmation of Regulatory Guide 1.8 Personnel Qualifications
