Job Description

GTI is a contract manufacturing partner supporting customers in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, and industrial systems.
We fabricate custom designed, purpose-built enclosures and skids for our customers and perform mechanical and electrical integration in-house, delivering a true turn-key product to our customers. GTI is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of electrical systems for modular infrastructure projects. This role develops electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring documentation, and production-ready electrical designs supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Generator Systems (GenSets), Modular Data Centers, industrial skids, and other custom engineered solutions. May require up to 10% travel.

Key Responsibilities

    Electrical System Design

  • Design electrical systems supporting modular infrastructure and industrial equipment

  • Develop single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable schedules

  • Support integration of switchgear, transformers, generators, batteries, UPS systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and monitoring equipment

  • Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical engineering, controls, manufacturing, and project teams

    • Engineering & Documentation

  • Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and basic electrical analysis

  • Develop production-ready electrical documentation supporting manufacturing and integration

  • Support compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and customer specifications

  • Participate in engineering design reviews and continuous product improvements

    • Manufacturing & Testing Support

  • Support prototype builds, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting

  • Work with manufacturing teams to resolve electrical design and production issues

  • Support engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Experience developing electrical schematics and engineering documentation
  • Experience with electrical CAD software such as SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar
  • Understanding of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and controls

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Generator Systems, Modular Data Centers, industrial skids, or similar equipment
  • Experience with switchgear, motor control, PLC systems, UPS systems, generators, transformers, or industrial controls
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Background in fabrication-heavy or contract manufacturing environments
