As Electrical Construction Oversight Field Engineer you will provide engineering services, technical support and guidance to Worley and its Customer, including oversite and supervision within the construction supervision engineering team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development and implementation of Worley systems and procedures for the project and performs work in accordance with Worley internal processes and all relevant approved procedures
  • Represents Worley at internal & external meetings on the project.
  • Reports on project technical scope performance against the Construction Time Schedule
  • Monitors construction for compliance with electrical codes and standards, Contract requirements, results of previous design stages, etc. under the direction of the Site Construction Supervision Lead
  • Provides technical support to the Site Construction Supervision team on issues related to electrical engineering
  • Monitors construction of NPP’s and associated structures; develops comments pertaining to non-compliance with design
  • Oversees the entire technical installation documentation review process within the electrical engineering discipline
  • Participates in safety and hazard assessments for electrical processes and systems
  • Reviews as-built design documents and modification of electrical systems

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong technical skills; 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering on large scale projects, thermal power plants or in nuclear power plant development.
  • Nuclear experience is required.
  • Knowledge of European and Russian nuclear electrical codes is a plus.
  • Recognized as having a specialized depth or breadth of expertise in the following areas: electrical installation work including main generator and excitation system, power transformers, GIS 500/220 kV diesel generators, relay protection, MV and LV Switchboards, DC and UPS system and cable installation.

  • Ability to analyze, communicate, influence and persuade.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, understanding of Russian is a plus.
  • Organized and disciplined, capable of planning, scheduling and controlling tasks and events
  • Proactive team player, proven to be effective in a multi-cultural environment.
