Job Description

SHINE Technologies is seeking an Electrical Construction Coordinator to work with the following organizations of design, construction, and commissioning activities to identify and resolve issues to complete the SHINE Medical Isotope Production Facility.

A good fit for a hands-on construction-based and innovative person with a focus on electrical scope elements while interfacing with mechanical, structural, and/or welding, and able to interface, supervise and direct construction activities with installation Contractors, Structural steel, Welding and Electrical engineering to identify and resolve issues.

The base salary range for this position is $98,000 - $135,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Electrical Construction Coordinator:

  • Plan and support SHINE Construction Manager, General Contractor, field team members, and SHINE Engineering / external design agencies to plan work activities and solve problems.
  • Acquire technical and construction knowledge of the production facility design, regulatory requirements, and project status, and translate this knowledge into reports, schedules, plans, and other tools needed to drive the project to completion
  • Perform visual verifications to confirm electrical work scope completed in alignment with design and SHINE Construction Program Work Package specific requirements.
  • Define and work with Quality to execute all required testing.
  • Assist Construction Planner with controlled document updates in the field
  • Validate Contractor Daily Quantity installation reports
  • Interface and collaborate with external stakeholders and vendors to advance SHINE project goals
  • Manage installation contracts which support electrical scope elements – as required
  • Identify and track items adverse to Quality and Safety
  • Work with and assist all divisions of the company to execute activities required to complete the production facility and establish commercial operation
  • Other duties as assigned by the Construction Manager

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in capital construction projects working with engineering, procurement, testing, work planning and work execution on site.
  • Craft supervision at Superintendent level preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to take directions as well as think independently
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction drawings, specifications, procedures, and government regulations
  • Industry experience in construction or operations of nuclear facilities (Part 50 or 70) preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (e.g., standing or sitting) for extended periods.
  • Ability to move within facility environments, including accessing testing areas and operating instrumentation.
  • Work may occasionally take place in controlled radiation areas under supervision and within regulatory exposure limits.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including full Tyvek suit while wearing a ventilated hood, lab coats, safety glasses, and dosimeters.
  • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Although flexible work hours may be available, shift-work schedules may be required, and extended hours will sometimes be necessary to complete required work assignment.
  • Participation in the site emergency plan drills.
