The Electrical BIM Modeller will be responsible for developing accurate, coordinated, and high-quality 3D electrical models and detailed drawings using Autodesk Revit, Bentley MicroStation, and associated BIM tools for rail and transportation infrastructure projects. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver BIM outputs aligned with project specifications, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and international digital engineering standards. The candidate must have proven experience in modelling electrical systems for metro stations, rail facilities, tunnels, depots, traction power substations, control centres, and other transportation related buildings.

Job Location : Noida

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for electrical systems including:

    • Power distribution (HV/MV/LV) System

    • Earthing & bonding (E&B) for rail systems

    • Cable tray/containment and conduit routing in stations, tunnels, and depots

    • Fire alarm, public address, CCTV, access control, SCADA interfaces

    • Traction power room interfaces (TSS/ATSS/SSP/PRS) where applicable

    • Signalling system along the line

    • Other rail system assets within the rail environment

  • Produce coordinated drawings (plans, sections, elevations, schematics, SLDs, containment layouts) as per project requirements.

  • Collaborate with architecture/structural/mechanical teams, railway systems engineers, and BIM managers for:

    • Clash detection & resolution

    • Model integration

    • Interface coordination (Rail System & others)

  • Follow project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), modelling standards, naming conventions, classification systems, and documentation protocols.

  • Ensure model structuring aligns with ISO 19650 workflows.

  • Perform model audits and ensure model integrity throughout all stages of design.

  • Maintain version control and ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

  • Generate equipment schedules, cable quantities, and BOQ inputs when required.

  • Attend design and BIM coordination meetings.

  • Support model-based discussions with engineering teams and stakeholders.

  • Prepare as-built models and digital handover documentation compliant with client and operator standards.

  • Assist senior engineers and BIM coordinators with workflow improvements, template development, and best practices for electrical BIM delivery.

Candidate Specification

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in electrical/electronic engineering.

  • Candidates with additional certification in BIM, MicroStation/Open Buildings Designer, or digital engineering would be preferred.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on BIM modelling experience in electrical systems for transportation or infrastructure projects (metro, rail, tunnels, stations, airports, depots) on BIM modelling experience.

  • Strong proficiency in MicroStation/Open Buildings Designer with proven project experience.

  • Solid understanding of electrical services, railway electrical room layouts, cable management systems, lineside equipments and construction methodologies.

  • Ability to interpret engineer markups, SLDs, layouts, technical specifications, and convert them into coordinated 3D models.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

  • Ability to work independently, manage deliverables, and meet deadlines in fast-paced project settings.

Desirable Competencies / Skills:

  • Experience with electrical systems in rail environments such as:

  • Station LV systems

  • Depot electrical rooms

  • Tunnel lighting & emergency power

  • Traction power building interfaces

  • Signalling System

  • Overhead Catenary System

  • Familiar with CAD standards

  • Familiarity with Grasshoper/Rhino or scripting for BIM automation.

  • Understanding of workflows in ProjectWise & SharePoint.

  • Working knowledge of ISO 19650 standards for digital project delivery.

  • Experience with as-built/BIM for FM models.

  • Ability to contribute to BIM process optimisation and template creation.
