Mesa Technologies, Inc. seeks an Electrical Assembly Technician that will complete machine wiring tasks safely, within budget, and per the design documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform job duties safely and ensure the safety of co-workers.
  • Confirm all purchased/fabricated components are ready for subassembly or assembly prior to beginning the task.
  • As an Electrical Assembly Lead, assign tasks to other Electrical Assembly Technicians.
  • Assemble and wire backpanels in accordance with the design documentation.
  • Route and wire equipment in accordance with the design documentation.
  • Complete I/O checkout and highlight drawings to reflect each input/output checked.
  • Redline drawings throughout assembly process and keep redlines organized in drawing book.
  • Complete Gates Checklist prior to equipment shipping.
  • Keep assigned shop area organized for minimum operating cost at all times.
  • Keep assigned shop area clean/safe at all times.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have experience assembling and adjusting automated equipment.
  • Must have experience with interpreting mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
  • Must have experience with troubleshooting pneumatic and electric circuits.
  • Must have experience with safe operation of machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, band saws, table saws, grinders, etc.
  • Must have experience with safe operation of hand tools.
  • Must have a working knowledge of a variety of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, ohm meters, calibration units, etc.
  • Must have excellent soldering and de-soldering skills.
  • Must have experience with safe forklift operation.
