Previous electrical or manufacturing experience is NOT required. We provide training for entry-level candidates who have the aptitude and desire to learn. If you already have electrical, construction, manufacturing, wiring, or skilled-trades experience, that experience is a major advantage and may qualify you for a higher technician level and starting wage.

Our Electrical Manufacturing Technicians help assemble and wire custom electrical equipment from the beginning stages of production through testing and final inspection.

Technicians are expected to follow established procedures and ensure their work meets IE’s safety, engineering, and quality standards.
Previous experience with electrical tools and equipment is not required, but it is a significant benefit. Candidates with experience using hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, or material-handling equipment are strongly encouraged to apply.

No previous electrical experience is required for entry-level consideration.
Candidates with previous electrical, construction, industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, assembly, blueprint-reading, or skilled-trades experience may qualify for placement at a higher technician level based on their experience and applicable IE competency testing.

Depending on experience and technician level, employees will learn or be expected to:
Forklift and overhead crane certifications are NOT required at the time of application.
Employees working in positions requiring this equipment must be able to obtain the applicable OSHA forklift and overhead crane certifications after hire.
For employees in Utah or Colorado who are pursuing a state Journeyman license, a valid apprentice license must be maintained when required for IE to provide qualifying signed work hours.
This is an active, hands-on manufacturing position. Employees work in an industrial environment around electrical equipment, machinery, tools, and moving equipment.
