Ready to head into the world of work? An Apprenticeship could be your ideal start to the next phase of your career. You’ll learn about the job, on the job, whilst we support you through further studies, so you’ll gain qualifications as well as work experience and skills.
As a Multi-Trade Apprentice, you will be engaged in a structured training programme designed to develop your practical skills across multiple trades, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and general maintenance. Through a combination of on-the-job experience and classroom-based learning, you will build a strong foundation in maintenance and repair, progressing through defined levels of competency. Working under supervision, you will gain hands-on experience while developing the knowledge and skills required to deliver safe, effective and high-quality work across a range of disciplines.
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of qualified electricians, developing the technical knowledge and practical skills required to support the installation, inspection, testing and maintenance of electrical and life safety systems. You will be part of a fast‑paced, supportive team within a business recognised as a leader in its field.
Key Responsibilities
With structured training and day‑to‑day guidance, you will:
Learn how to identify, test and support the maintenance of electrical and life safety systems
Assist qualified electricians with installation, inspection and testing
Follow health, safety and compliance procedures to maintain safe working environments
Attend training sessions and complete all required apprenticeship coursework
Develop strong working habits, attention to detail and pride in delivering high‑quality work
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential: Must have grade C grade or above or equivalent in Math & English
No prior experience is required. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:
A genuine interest in electrical installation and fire safety
Willingness to learn, take instruction and embrace new challenges
A positive, reliable attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Basic technical awareness or a hands‑on interest (desirable but not essential)
Training and Progression
Qualification: Electrical Apprenticeship Level 3
Duration: 16 to 24 months
Apprenticeships are structured in levels, requiring completion of hours of paid training to achieve certification
Training includes hands-on experience within the electrical trade and classroom instruction covering electrical theory, safety, and technical skills
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, career progression within Sureserve will be reviewed in line with your new skills and reflected accordingly which may include salary increase and a company van
