The Client Development Manager is responsible expanding external partnerships with financial institution servicing organizations that resell a white labeled version of Elan’s agent program. This role drives partner production, sales execution, and program performance by acting as the primary business owner for assigned servicing organizations.

Success is measured through market adoption, pipeline growth, production results, and overall program adoption.

The role requires close collaboration with external sales and business development teams, as well as strong cross functional coordination with internal stakeholders including risk, finance, operations, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Sales & Business Development (80% of role)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned external partners, managing day‑to‑day opportunity development.
  • Engage with external program sales team on opportunity specific needs to improve/boost sales process forward
  • Partner with external sales and business development teams to review pipeline health, forecast production, and assess performance against goals.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop and execute short‑ and long‑term sales strategies, including production targets, market segmentation, and prioritization.
  • Support the creation and refinement of partner‑specific sales messaging, value propositions, and go‑to‑market approaches.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing partnerships and recommend strategies to drive increased adoption, volume, and profitability.

Program Execution & Partner Onboarding (20% of role)

  • Facilitate end‑to‑end onboarding process for new partners including data collection, contract coordination, due diligence, and readiness assessments.
  • Ensure partners understand program requirements, timelines, and performance expectations.
  • Coordinate training and enablement efforts for external sales teams, including product knowledge, process education, and best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in financial institution sales, client management, partnership management, or business development.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders, both internally and externally.
  • Proven knowledge of sales management practices, pipeline management, and partner engagement models.
  • Experience working within or with financial institutions, fintechs, or consumer lending products.
  • Strong understanding of competitive landscapes and the ability to perform market and competitive analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and relationship‑management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Experience enabling or supporting sales teams
  • Problem solving mindset
  • Comfortable with ambiguity/building processes
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and MS Office Products
  • Ability to travel once per month at most

Location Expectations

This role is posted as remote; however, candidates who are located near any one of our locations would be required to work on site at least three days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
