Croswell-Lexington Community Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is an inspiring, dynamic high school English Language Arts teacher who empowers students through literature, writing, and critical thinking. This position requires strong classroom management, a student-centered approach, and the ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified with the State of Michigan to teach grades 6-12 in English Language Arts (BA or BX) endorsement. Additional certifications preferred

  • Effective classroom management skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and families

  • Passion for teaching and working with students

  • Commitment to ensure all students are academically challenged based on individual learning levels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with school and curriculum standards

  • Teach reading, writing, grammar, and literature analysis

  • Utilize formative and summative assessments to determine student growth

  • Provide feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents/guardians

  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in faculty meetings and professional development

  • Incorporate technology and diverse teaching strategies to meet varied learning styles and needs
