POSITION: Gifted English Language Arts Teacher
LOCATION: Robert A. Cross Middle Magnet School
JOB SUMMARY:
The Dougherty County School System is looking for a Gifted English Language Arts Teacher at Robert A. Cross Middle Magnet School. The ideal candidate will deliver differentiated instruction aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence while meeting the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of gifted learners. This role includes collaborating with colleagues, integrating technology, using data to guide instruction, and maintaining strong communication with parents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess a clear and renewable certificate in Middle Grades Reading and Language Arts;
2. Have the Gifted In-Field Endorsement;
3. Three years of satisfactory teaching experience;
4. Experience teaching higher-level and/or gifted students;
5.Capable of developing and implementing challenging curriculum based on Georgia Standards of Excellence;
6.Have knowledge and understanding of cognitive, social, and emotional characteristics and needs of gifted learners;
7. Excellent interpersonal skills with parents and colleagues;
8. Ability to collaborate in a team environment;
9. Proficient with technology and appropriate software;
10. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide.
