Job Description

Purpose & Scope: Perform tasks involved with constructing, maintaining, improving and all other work related to the

grounds, piping, roads and farming involved with the Dalhart Live Pork Operation. Good attention to ensure

accuracy and quality. Performs tasks associated with this department while meeting productivity, quality, safety,

behavioral and attendance expectations.

Must be able to tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and work around moving

equipment.

Record keeping and maintenance logs for equipment.

Principle Responsibilities: Functions may include but are not limited to supervising hourly employees while

Flushing Barns- maintaining levels and scheduling flushes

Recharging Barns- Effluent or coordinating fresh recharge

Lift Station pumps- Checking on operation of pumps

Livestock Wells- ensure functioning properly

PWS wells- ensure functioning properly

Water & cleanliness of dirt buildup on covers

Maintain lagoons- pump cover, maintenance on pumps

Unplugging lines

Repairing Valves and controllers

Help with Dead animals

Repair dead carts

Dirt work- roads, lagoon banks, livestock tanks

Operate % circle of crops applying fresh or effluent water

Mowing around site and beautification

Helping with supply deliveries. loading and unloading

Follows all security and safety procedures established by JBS

Performs other duties as assigned by Management as needed.
